The Lillian Wells Aged Care dementia wing in North Parramatta underwent an upgrade to enhance functionality, safety, and accessibility for its residents. This project focused on installing matching door protection panels, designed not only to safeguard surfaces but also to support residents in easily identifying their rooms.
To create a welcoming and functional environment, bright and distinctive colours were used for door panels, including Carnival Red, Amazon Green, Bermuda Blue, Monarch Orange, Dandelion Yellow, and Dark Grey. These vibrant colours serve as visual cues, aiding residents in navigating the space independently while adding a lively aesthetic to the facility.
Utility rooms were fitted with Dark Grey door panels to provide a uniform, understated look, ensuring these areas remain easily distinguishable from resident rooms. Additionally, Dark Grey was selected for door frame protection to provide robust and long-lasting durability in high-traffic areas.
This thoughtful integration of colour and protective solutions reflects a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents and ensuring the facility remains functional and visually appealing for years to come.
